As most of you are involved in facility management know, fire code figures heavily in the area of access control. In Ohio, commercial businesses and government institutions are subject to the Ohio Basic Building Code, which is based in National Fire Code (NFC), published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the various codes published by the International Code Council (ICC).
